Mount Mardi Himal culminates through different environments of the Himalayas, from villages to rice fields and through a forest of rhododendrons. The arrival at the Mardi Himal base camp at 4450m, in the middle of the highest peaks of the Annapurna massif is simply amazing.

Itinerary

Every Day: 

We will welcome every day with a morning yoga session before breakfast. During treks, we will share relaxing Yoga Nidra meditation sessions in our beautiful surroundings. Before dinner, we will stretch together and prepare our muscles for rest. Every evening will contain a yoga talk and relaxation session.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu 

Arrived at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport where our guide or driver will be waiting outside the terminal. Transfer to the Hotel by private vehicle.
Night in hotel, Dinner included. Evening relaxation session.

Day 02: Kathmandu – Pokhara – Kande – Pothana (1950m)

After breakfast, we will fly to Pokhara. A panoramic view of the mountains will surprise us during the flight of 30min. A private vehicle will be waiting for us to go to Kande where the trek will start slowly through different typical villages before climbing and conquering bushes and rhododendrons.  Our first stop will be at the Australian base camp where we will have a first glimpse of the Annapurna Mountain Range, Manaslu, Dhaulagiri, Fishtail Mountain. We will continue our journey as far as Pothana. A beautiful sunset on Fishtail Mountain will be waiting for us.

Day 03: Pothana (1950m) – Forest Camp (2550m)

In the morning after breakfast, we will make a path full of red sandalwood and rhododendrons until PitamDeurali which will take about three hours. We will have lunch in this small village. A little height will take you to Forest Camp.

Day 04: Forest Camp (2550m) – Low Camp (3000m)

After breakfast, we will simply start our day up and down a lovely trail until it gets harder it will take us about two and a half hours. We will always cross the dense forests of rhododendrons until the Low Camp which knows how to be very peaceful and beautiful with unique views of Machhapuchre and Mardi Himal.

Day 05: Low Camp (3000m) – High Camp (3900m)

A gentle ascent followed by a more intense one will wait for us after breakfast. The effort will be worth it because we will reach an exceptional point of view: the chain of Annapurna, Machhapuchre. A grassy slope to the High Camp will take about two hours. This hike is special because it offers a chance to walk along the beaten tracks occupied by yaks.

Day 06: High Camp (3900m) – Mardi Himal Base Camp (4450m) – Hight Camp (3900m)

After breakfast, we will walk to a higher point of view which offers an exceptional view of the Annapurna Himalaya range. Lunch will be on site to contemplate the view. We will descend to the High Camp through narrow trails where we will have to pay attention to the snow that will surprise us depending on the season. Return to the lodge for the night. This day will be intense in emotion.

Day 07: High Camp (3900m) – Siding Village (1750m)

In the morning after breakfast, our way will continue by discovering traditional villages. These villages are isolated from tourists and will plunge us into Nepalese culture. We will spend the night in the village of Siding.

Day 08: Siding (1750m) – Lumre – Pokhara

In the morning after breakfast, we will walk to Lumre, passing other villages like Kalimati and Ghalel. This walk will take us three hours, we will have lunch in Lumre before returning to Pokhara by private vehicle.

Day 9: Visit the World Peace Stupa and return to Kathmandu

In the morning after breakfast, we will admire Peace Pagoda overlooking the city where the serenity of the place will amaze us. Enjoy a wide view of the Annapurna range. We will then descend to Lake Phewa through a forest and take a traditional boat for the crossing, passing through the Barahi Temple located in the middle of the lake. In the afternoon, transfer to the airport and scenic flight to Kathmandu. A private vehicle will be there to transfer to the hotel where we will spend the night.

Day 10: Swayambunath (Monkey Temple) – Pashupatinath Temple – Bodnath

In the morning after morning yoga at our studio in Thamel and breakfast, we will leave to discover the sumptuous Swayambunathtemple which offers a unique view of Buddhist and Hindu cultures. It is also an ideal place to admire the city and the valley of Kathmandu. The temple is home to many monkeys, so do not be surprised to see them jump! In the afternoon after lunch, we will head back to the very sacred Pashupatinah Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979. It is one of the holiest places in Hinduism and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. unique opportunity to observe the rituals of cremation. Then we will go to Bodnath, one of the largest stupas in the world said sacred place for Buddhists surrounded by many monasteries for a sunset on the “Big Stupa”. Return to the hotel.

Day 11: Visit Baktapur

In the morning after breakfast, we will take the road for about 45min until the medieval town of Baktapur. The city has 3 main squares inhabited by towering temples that embrace impressive religious architecture. Cultural life is proudly exposed with the drying of traditional pottery filling the squares and the inhabitants gathered in the courts to bathe and collect water as well as socialize. We will spend most of the day there and return to Kathmandu by private vehicle. You will then have some free time in Kathmandu where you will have the opportunity to go shopping in Thamel, the most lively and touristic area of town.

Day 12:  Departure from Kathmandu

Because every good thing has an end, the trip will end after breakfast. Our guide will be there to advise you and organize your travel plans as well as transfer to Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport by private vehicle if you return home or if you are traveling to another destination.

NOTE – We are able to organize our tour with a minimum of 2 people. The tour will be canceled with fewer than 2 reservations. We don’t take a deposit before the tour. The total payment must be paid in cash on the first day of the tour.
